Andrew Collberg & Band

Popcorn Graveyard is the third album Andrew Collberg will release on Papercup Records. It was produced by Miccel Mohr in Copenhagen, DK over the course of a few brief sessions in 2022 with subsequent overdubs done in Cologne with the help of David Helm & Jan Phillip as well as pedal steel and guitar provided by long time collaborator and friend Connor Gallahr in LA.

The album is like a bowl of popcorn resting on your lap; a hand plunged into it and then popped kernels overflowing from the sides. It’s a random selection of who and what will end up in the sheets, on the ground or in a dirty hidden corner. But still, they all live in the popcorn graveyard. A mixture of lint and butter coated air puffs that have been rolling around or stuck in a crack for far too long. Most of these songs also lived in the popcorn graveyard for some time but for one reason or another were sorted, cleaned and dissected. As usual, it’s an album tainted with satire living in a tongue and cheek world.
