Cologne Music Week Pop NRW Abend: Die P // Moglii // Lota

Lota
Seldom before has gentleness sounded so energetic and has vulnerability been so strong.

On spherical soundscapes LOTA projects close stories in the sign of the zeitgeist - they deal with interpersonal relationships, escapism and longing, paired with the attempt to break free from social conventions.
The Cologne singer, songwriter and producer Lotta Holtei. came into contact with music from an early age, singing in a children's choir at the age of four, followed by her first piano lesson two years later. In the course of her youth she also learned the flute, clarinet and guitar. She has remained true to the piano to this day.

Inspired by indie-pop influences and electronic lo-fi elements, mystical sounds meet distinctive beats, contrasted by calm piano sounds and soulful lyrics. Her soft and haunting voice carries you away into a spherical world of sound. The English lyrics are bluntly honest and deal with socially relevant topics such as depression, ideals of beauty or feminism, without losing lyrical sophistication.

Moglii
Moglii is a producer, singer and studied jazz pianist living in Cologne. In addition to his own releases, he writes and co-produces for international artists such as Australian multi-platinum producer Hayden James and British singer Elderbrook. Their feature song "Remember You" will be released via Future Classic.

With great attention to detail, Moglii creates his very own genre of "organic electronic", defined by a modern mix of warm beats, analog synths and soulful vocal samples. Alongside acoustic instruments and a unique sound design, his own voice is also increasingly finding its place in his tracks.
After more than 60 million streams so far, live performances as support band for San Holo, Roo sevelt and Elderbrook as well as festival appearances (including 'The Great Escape Festival' (UK), 'Dock ville Festival' (GER) & 'Sziget Festival' (HUN)) he is about to release new music in 2021.

As mastermind of his second project Moglebaum (single 'Raindrops' reached #1 on Spotify's Global Viral Charts in 2016), he has played concerts in India, France and Bulgaria.

The P
The P is a musician with a clear vision. Compromise has no place in her art. With skills, attitude and hard work, the rapper has built her creative network.

With reflective lines about the lack of perspective in the hood or hard-hitting punchlines against the scene, Die P makes it unmistakably clear that she doesn't let anyone tell her anything - but she has a lot to say. You better not mess with her when she takes out the mic. Whether it's philosophical parts or hooks with an announcement, "3.14" has boombap hearts beating faster and street rap fans nodding appreciatively. "The P is Rarity!" - when it comes to skills, realness and credibility. The producers involved DJ Stean, Big Roo and Raz-one as well as Classic der Dicke, TVL and Eddy Jah deliver a timeless sound tapestry of the highest level to the authentic lyrics about the reality of life in the hood.
