Hohnen Ford
Trained in jazz singing at the Royal Academy of Music in London and with a musical upbringing steeped in soul, classical and campfire harmonies, Hohnen Ford's work is rooted in emotional honesty and courageous vulnerability. She has toured with Wasia Project and Orla Gartland and has toured as a very special guest vocalist for FINNEAS. Her latest work builds on the textured, introspective sound that has become her trademark, proving that she is not only a voice to watch, but one to keep an eye on.
Released in April, the single "A Lot To Give" is an exciting new chapter for Hohnen Ford - her debut on her new label Giant Music, serving as a follow-up to the critically acclaimed debut EP I Wish I Had A God. Known for her soulful songwriting and expansive soundscapes, she blends elements of jazz, folk and classical songwriting to create something all her own. Her unique interpretations of Great American Songbook standards have drawn the admiration of artists such as John Mayer, Tom Odell, Eloise, Tom Misch, Laufey, Matilda Mann, Bruno Major, Matt Maltese and Marcus Mumfor.
