TALIBAM! with Silke Eberhard & Nikolaus Neuser

Der VVK ist beendet. Es sind noch ausreichend Tickets an der Abendkasse verfügbar.

More than 15 European tours since 2007 and more than 20 album releases since 2005: the New York duo TALIBAM! is one of the most creative and unusual formations you can currently experience on jazz, rock, punk, underground and various other stages. For keytarist Matt Mottel (Awesome Color, Akron/Family, Shadow Maps) and drummer Kevin Shea (Mostly Other People Do The Killing, Coptic Light) genres practically do not exist.
Experimental jazz rock somewhere on the border between post-prog funk and free noise polka. Shea and Mottel are happy to expand their line-up with members of the first guard of the New York improvisation scene, so that among many others trumpeter Peter Evans, bassist Moppa Elliott and saxophonist Jon Irabagon already belonged to the band.
This time they meet the Berliners Silke Eberhard (saxophone) and Nikolaus Neuser (trumpet), who have been working together for more than 15 years in different contexts, dealing with works by Kurt Schwitters, Giaccinto Scelsi, Eric Dolphy and Charles Mingus.
The anarchistic, hyperactive and extremely intensely playing quartet does not address a small group of avant-garde "connoisseurs" with its overwhelming sound wall, but delights all enthusiastic friends of unusual music beyond the usual paths with its massive show.
