Acht Brücken 2021: Homotopie // Subway Jazz Orchestra feat. Tamara Lukasheva

The encounter is likely to lead to violent eruptions once again. The Subway Jazz Orchestra meets the Ukrainian vocalist Tamara Lukasheva in the Klaus von Bismarck Hall of the WDR. 18 musical heavyweights, distributed among rhythm, brass and reed sections as well as strings, form a super-massive powerhouse with the singer that no one within earshot will be able to escape. A turbulence of free musical radicals, a highly reactive primordial soup of elementary sound particles, of all conceivable sound particles that can provide vocal chords, reeds, brass and eardrums with the necessary sound pressure. Even in the softest tones, irrepressible nuclear forces are at work, adding up to eruptive chain reactions, from linear lyrical solos to compact, resounding big band arrangements, which accumulate along vibrating themes and motif cores to form changing formations. This is permanent evolution.
The concert will be recorded by WDR for radio. The broadcast date will be announced later.

Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
