AUSVERKAUFT: half.alive

When a young band starts from zero to one hundred in the social networks, there is usually a qualitative reason for that. This is what happened to half-alive from Long Beach, California, who rose to sensation with only a few songs. Between 04 and 06 November half-alive for three concerts will come to us in Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne.

That singer and guitarist Josh Taylor is an excellent songwriter, who also knows how to combine modern pop elements with a casual indie feeling, he already proved with the band The Moderates. Taylor himself wasn't satisfied with his songwriting skills yet, so he completed a seven-month songwriting program at the end of 2015, where he wrote more than 50 songs. Back in Long Beach in April 2017 he broke up The Moderates and founded the new band half-alive together with drummer Brett Kramer and multi-instrumentalist J Tyler Johnson. In the same month their first single "The Fall" was released, accompanied by a sensational video, which immediately proved another quality of this new band: half-alive don't only know how to merge numerous genres like Indie-Pop, Electro and Rock, but also know how to convince with optical impressions.

In April 2017 the trio released their first debut EP "3". The resulting single "The Fall" became like the second single "Aawake At Night" a self-runner on the music services. Every week, the songs collected several 100,000 clicks on Spotify and YouTube, and specialist media such as Alternative Press and Rock Sound called them "first class" and "rarely versatile and talented". Combined the songs of their first EP bring it to more than 13 million plays at Spotify so far. Even more successful was the next single "still feel.", which currently counts more than 13 million plays on Spotify alone and will soon reach the magic limit of 20 million clicks thanks to a rousingly choreographed video on YouTube. "still feel." is also the harbinger of the next EP "*7", which will be released this year.

In autumn half-alive then come to Europe. Visitors to their concerts speak of exciting shows with an enormous emotional range of suspense. So you can look forward to their upcoming German concerts in Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne.
