Cologne Sessions pres. Parrish Smith

Parrish Smith creates a sound that is both familiar and profoundly inexplicable. Floating between Body Music, Electronica and Deep-Burning Industrial, but rejecting the conventions of all three, his output is as elusive as it is absorbent. Inspired by personal experience and his determination to constantly evolve, Smith developed an unmistakable sound derived from a purely analog setup that scans every object that produces sound. His characteristic Raw Machine Wrangling attracted the attention of Nina Kraviz, who published his track 'L'importance du Doute' on her трип imprint, while the Dutch label Knekelhuis signed his debut EP: Virgin of the World. Besides Pankow and Helena Hauff Smith contributed to a split EP on Contort Yourself and a 4-tracker on L.I.E.S. Records.
Following his recent release on Dekmantel UFO, "Sex Suicide & Speed Metal", Parrish Smith has toured extensively and remains a consistently touring DJ performing worldwide.
