Foggy Notion: Deradoorian

Deradoorian is the stage name under which Angel Deradoorian performs as a solo artist, blending elements of indie rock, avant-garde electronic music, dub, and dance rhythms. She launched her solo career after making a name for herself as a member of the Dirty Projectors and collaborating with artists such as Avey Tare and Flying Lotus. Her albums, including The Expanding Flower Planet from 2015 and Find the Sun from 2020, are cosmic song cycles shaped by her spiritual journey. Following her collaboration with Kate NV under the name Decisive Pink on the heavily electronic 2023 album Ticket to Fame, Deradoorian incorporated this sound into her already multifaceted style on the 2025 album Ready for Heaven.

Ready for Heaven explores heaven and earth, damnation and redemption, as well as the use of intelligence against unbridled, unabashed greed.
