The Belgian instrumental duo Glass Museum is touring in autumn 2019 with its modern blend of traditional jazz, orchestral arrangements and electronic music.
Since 2016, the raw energy of pianist Antoine Flipo and drummer Martin Grégoire has united the best contemporary jazz, à la Gogo Penguin or BadBadNotGood, with the electronic influences of Jon Hopkins or Floating Points.
The musical competition of both instruments produces lively melodies, which are often complemented on stage by traditional jazz improvisations. The two musicians sit opposite each other at concerts to spatially underline the tension between melancholic sounds and rhythmic percussion. Despite their young age they prove musical maturity and effortlessly manage the balancing act
between different musical worlds.
