Hotel Lux

With their new album The Bitter Cup, Hotel Lux make a powerful return in 2025. Following their acclaimed debut Hands Across The Creek (2023) - supported by The Guardian, Mojo, Uncut, Clash, NME and BBC 6Music - the band present a bold evolution of their sound.

A line-up change and an intensive tour led the Londoners to completely rethink their creative process. With multi-instrumentalist Dillon Home, a fully collaborative approach emerged, resulting in a more mature, personal and distinctly experimental sound.

Written under tight financial constraints and recorded live in just four days, The Bitter Cup is raw, direct and emotionally undisguised. The songs move between melancholic vulnerability (Another One Gone), social commentary (Costermonger) and introspective themes such as mental health and addiction (The Fear).

The title track - a spontaneous, energetic Billy Childish cover version - harks back to the band's musical roots and underlines their new creative openness.

Hotel Lux are stronger, more honest and more experimental than ever - an impressive new chapter in their development.

The Bitter Cup was released on October 31, 2025 and will be presented on a club tour in Germany in March.
