"Monking around - The Music of Thelonious Monk"
Monking around is a musical tribute to the legendary jazz pianist and composer Thelonious Monk. With his unmistakable style, characterized by complex harmonies and distinctive rhythms, Monk is one of the most influential figures in jazz history.
The use of vocals is rather unusual for a repertoire dedicated to Monk's music. However, many singers have been inspired by his compositions over the years and have created lyrics to his pieces. On this evening, the quartet will present Monk's music in a fascinating combination of instrumental interpretations and vocal arrangements.
