The Trio Dell Lillinger Westergaard combines energetic play with structural development, compositional materials are permanently connected anew in real-time. The interaction of the musicians unfolds a musical high energy state of different differentiations, variants, sound overlays and reference contexts. The focus is not on formal determination but on the elaboration of form as a production process. This is why the trio does not see itself as a soloist (vibraphone) plus rhythm section (bass and drums) in the traditional sense, but rather as a relational ensemble in which all playing partners act equally and thus leave behind the dichotomy of soloing and accompaniment. Optionally the trio connects with guests like John Tchicai or Matt Maneri.
