Jazz at JAKI: Renner
Two brothers and a kindred spirit: the Renner trio presents an unusual constellation on this evening. The combination of trombone, bass and drums is not often found in jazz history. Moritz Renner, Tabea Kind and Valentin Renner make excellent use of the spaces that open up without a harmonizing instrument.
The interplay between the three creates the perfect symbiosis between freedom and well-paced precision. You can always hear how close the instrumentalists are. The winners of this year's "Biberacher Jazzpreis", convince "with intelligent compositions, emotional and virtuoso playing and a warm and transparent sound", which can be musically categorized in the genre of modern jazz.
