The trio around Joanna Duda embodies a fusion of jazz, groove, ambient and minimalism with echoes of baroque, romanticism and humor. The album FUMITSUKE represents a coherent sound unity as a result of collectively generated quality. Virtuosity is a crucial element that brings together the polyphony of the band's flavors, while the electronic elements have an organic and osmotic character. The Joanna Duda Trio stands out from the crowd of piano trios because it does not perceive itself as such, but as a living organism.
The current line-up with Joanna Duda on piano and electronics, Jort Terwijn on bass and Michał Bryndal on drums and electronics played their first concerts at the Warsaw Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scott's in London and the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival in July.
