Joanne Robertson

Joanne Robertson regularly collaborates with her artist friends such as Dean Blunt (on "Backstage Raver") and Sidsel Meineche Hansen (on "Alien Baby"). After a longer stay in London, she moved to Glasgow in 2018. Both her painting and her music arise from improvised moments of expression. "Blue Car" is a collection of songs from her archive of unreleased solo recordings. Similar to "Painting Stupid Girls", these tracks attempt to capture the moment and her emotional state on that day, much like diary entries. The date she wrote these songs is unknown, they span a period of around ten years.
