Julius Rodriguez

Born in New York and based in Los Angeles, multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer Julius Rodriguez electrifies every stage. In doing so, he also transcends the perceived boundaries between genres and styles, redefining music to reflect his fluid creative inclinations and creating a sound that is uniquely his own. His distinctive style first emerged on his solo debut Let Sound Tell All.
Together with producer Tim Anderson (Solange, Halsey, Billie Eilish), he found a special chemistry with Herbie Hancock and the fusion greats of the 70s. In his current album EVERGREEN, he unites the true spirit of jazz that leads freely into the future.

"I hope people listen to the album and forget all this genre pigeonholing," says Rodriguez. "It's just music you can dance to, feel and think to. It's not about categorizing, it's about enjoying something for what it is. EVERGREEN goes through a whole range of genres, but this is the world as I see and hear it. That's the feeling I evoke. I made a statement and said: the genre is just me."
