Julius Windisch solo // Casey Moir & Elisabeth Coudoux

This double concert focuses on improvisation and musical border crossings:

Julius Windisch (solo)
Pianist, composer and sound electronics engineer Julius Windisch has been regularly releasing his own music on various albums with musicians such as Pascal Klewer, Friederike Merz, Fabian Dudek, Elisabeth Coudoux, Leif Berger, Ronny Graupe, Felix Henkelhausen and Igor Spallati since 2020. Deutschlandfunk wrote about his trio's 2021 debut: "exciting and very colorful music (...) Lyrical, fragile moods blend wonderfully with powerful, energetic passages."
In November 2023, in its own pace by his current working band immerweiter was released on Boomslang Records. The band went on tour in Japan in fall 2024 and played several concerts in Georgia and Turkey in June 2025. In May 2025, sometimes it's hard was released - an album with electric bassists Luca Curcio & Christian Dähne, on which he sings his own songs. Windisch, who regularly plays improvised organ concerts, released an organ album in 2023 with recordings from southern Italy (Orgelalbum). A solo album with a focus on piano and electronics called what am i doing w my life was created in 2023 - and for this double concert, the busy musician also immerses himself in his solo work on keys and electronics.

Casey Moir & Elisabeth Coudoux
Casey Moir & Elisabeth Coudoux are both experienced in explorative improvisation and draw on the extensive sound spectrum of their instruments - voice and cello - as they ebb and flow in the layering of sound. Textures emerge. Tensions arise. Contrasts flow. Subtleties emerge. With a mixture of wild abandon and thoughtful precision, they find a seamless interplay. Skillful and yet playful. They breathe and move symbiotically in the music of the moment and are simultaneously autonomous and yet resolutely connected in sound and space.
