Ronny Graupes Spoom
The Berlin-based guitarist Ronny Graupe causes storms of enthusiasm. ZEIT writes: "Jazz-Germany's new super guitarist ... a natural phenomenon, a sound volcano." His trio SPOOM began with jazz standards and only later created their own material: a play of interpretation, composition and improvisation that still distinguishes the group. The exploration of various game types has also led to an increase in staff: SPOOM is now a quartet.

Ronny Graupe – Guitar
Christian Weidner – Alto Saxophone
Jonas Westergaard – Bass
Christian Lillinger – Drums

Jacob Anderskov Resonance
The Danish pianist and bandleader Jacob Anderskov is considered a "dazzling new power in European jazz" (Jazzwise). His project RESONANCE moves playfully between improvisation, new music, jazz, folk and European classical music. With a virtuoso string trio, drums and Anderskov himself at the piano, a great and direct music emerges. Jazzpodium also jubilates: "Rarely has one encountered such a ... free and at the same time beautiful and tense project lately."

Cæcilie Balling - Violin
Mette Brandt - Viola
Jacob Anderskov - Piano
Jonas Westergaard - Bass
Peter Bruun - Drums

Larry Goldings Köln Experience
With organist Larry Goldings, KLAENG has invited an "Artist in Residence" for the first time on the occasion of its 10th anniversary. In addition to his concert on the opening evening (Goldings/Bernstein/Stewart), KLAENG will conclude this year's KLAENG Festival with the festival project "Larry Goldings Köln Experience" on Sunday. Together with KLAENG members Sebastian Gille and the Cologne musicians Christian Ramond, Bastian Stein and Fabian Arends, Goldings is working on this unique project during his time in Cologne.

Larry Goldings – Hammond B3
Sebastian Gille – Saxophone
Bastian Stein – Trumpet
Christian Ramond – Bass
Fabian Arends – Drums

10 years KLAENG Festival

Ten years of KLAENG collective also mean ten years of KLAENG Festival. This collective festival has long since developed into a European hotspot for contemporary, improvised music. As with the six KLAENGstern, the success of this three-day autumn festival is based above all on its cross-genre and cross-style concept, in which the highly diverse musical preferences of the collective are processed and presented to the audience.

And the programme for the tenth anniversary of the KLAENG Festival also follows this path - with one difference: for the first time an "Artist in Residence" was invited. The American pianist and organist Larry Goldings will take on this task from 22 to 24 November and will also be performing twice on stage during the festival: with his ancestral organ trio with guitarist Peter Bernstein and drummer Bill Stewart on the opening evening, while he concludes this year's festival with his three-day "Köln Experience" - the name of this unique project - behind him. In between there are performances of Peter Brötzmann and Heather Leigh, Köster's successful band "Die Verwandlung", the Danish pianist Jacob Anderskov plus Strings or Spoom around the Berlin guitarist Ronny Graupe.
