LE POP - LA SÉRIE: L - Raphaële Lannadère
The French cultural magazine "Télérama" wrote about their first album: "The Chanson Française is L". A great and highly deserved compliment. But the statement also shows that Raphaële Lannadère stands for French tradition. While other artists playing in the "Le Pop - La Serie" series also draw on foreign genres such as Françoiz Breut (Americana and indie rock) and Boogaerts (reggae, Brazilian and African music), Raphaële Lannadère, who has given herself the stage name "L", cultivates the culture of Barbara, Brel, Anne Sylvestre and Juliette Gréco. The chanson, then, from the time before Gainsbourg, Françoise Hardy and Sixties-Yéyé. However, the artist neither refuses modern production nor does her style have anything old-fashioned about it. Rather, she puts songfulness at the center of her composition - and does so in a very passionate, powerful and beautiful way. Raphaëlle Lannadère is also a fantastic singer. This is only the second time that the artist has performed in Germany. Her first concert in 2013 at the Münsterland Festival was frenetically celebrated. Her repertoire has since expanded to include three wonderful albums, most recently "Paysages," released in 2021.
