Le Pop La Série: Lonny

The French songwriter Lonny enriches the current music scene in her home country with a very unique sound: she weaves soft pop, chanson and folk into songs to which her characteristic voice lends a special depth. France Inter even compared her to Leonard Cohen and aptly added: "Lonny's progressive folk is reminiscent of a mixture of Cat Power and Joni Mitchell". Lonny, whose real name is Louise Lhermitte, has already performed as the opening act for greats such as Jane Birkin, Dominique A and Richard Hawley and played at the most important festivals in France.

After recording her first songs in English in 2018 and 2019, Lonny switched to her mother tongue and has since released an enchanting album ("Ex-Voto", 2022) and several EPs in French. There are also duo projects, most recently with Cabane alias Soy un caballo, who has already worked with Bonnie Prince Billy, Sean O'Hagan and Françoiz Breut.

Lonny's subtle music is perfectly suited to the Green Room, the outdoor stage in the Stadtgarten, and promises an atmospheric evening full of atmospheric songs. The show as part of the concert series "Le Pop La Série" is Lonny's first appearance in Germany.
