Le Pop La Série: Melanie Pain

She has been the voice of the legendary wave-bossa project Nouvelle Vague since the beginning and Mélanie Pain has also been a guest on Le Pop compilations for almost as long. First with her track "La Cigarette", which even became a hit in Turkey via detours. Is it because there is a song in Turkish on her new album? The rest is completely in English this time and somehow the mother tongue of pop fits perfectly with this beautiful production. Delicate, voluptuous, romantic, each song blossoms like a bouquet of perfectly arranged flowers. "How And Why" is the name of her fourth solo album, which has a folky flair and in which Mélanie Pain's incomparable voice is at the center of the production. On the wonderful "Cold Hands", she has brought Brian Lopez (Calexico, Xixa) to the microphone as a duet partner. Lopez is conveniently part of the tour band and will also play songs from his solo program in the supporting program. Incidentally, his album "Ultra" was released by host Le Pop Musik at the time.
