Lera Lynn

Lera Lynn is an independent artist operating at the intersection of alt-Americana, indie rock and cinematic noir - known for her layered vocal harmonies, incisive lyricism and unflinching look at identity, societal norms and the price one pays for the pursuit of a creative life.
She first reached a wide audience through her work on "True Detective" (Season 2), where her performances and original compositions became a defining sonic thread of the series and earned her a loyal fan base. Since then, Lynn has forged a quirky, independent path, releasing music through her own label Ruby Range Records and also composing for film, television and video games. Her latest album, "Comic Book Cowboy" (released in September 2025), marks a high point in this evolution - a raw, confident album that tackles the complexities of adult life, balancing disappointment with dry humor and hard-won acceptance. The project blends lean, powerful rock arrangements with pedal-steel textures and atmospheric production, expanding the sonic world she's built over more than a decade.
In 2026, Lynn continues this evolution with the summery single "Digital You (Acoustic)", due out May 21 - a track that sharpens her ongoing exploration of identity in the digital age, where connection, performance and self become disconcertingly blurred. In this reimagined track, Lynn flirts with an airy soundscape juxtaposed with the song's disorienting lyrics - an artful dynamic she's right at home with.
Currently back at work on a new album, as a seasoned touring artist Lynn will take this material overseas on a European tour this fall, living up to her reputation as an artist whose intimate, emotionally charged live performances resonate long after the last note has been played. Throughout her career and throughout her work, Lera Lynn has remained true to one thing: the truth, even when it complicates the story.
