Christmas carols like you've never heard them before: Moving Krippenspielers present rare Christmas carols from the Allgäu or from Ireland in their simple beauty just the same as Christmas hits combined with a punk beat.... Expect homey triple vocal arrangements reminiscent of an Allgäu Christmas parlour with a warm wood stove or two tubas grooving with complementary drum beats and swinging up to real big city riffs.

Inspired by mischievousness and masterly craftsmanship, a new Christmas story is being written, building on tradition. Six outstanding musicians will also stage a nativity play that has no equal: around thirty instruments, Christmas carols, Christmas costumes, a Christmas story that leaves plenty of room for creativity and interaction on stage, singing and a few folk dances - these are the ingredients for this timeless nativity play. Folk meets jazz meets Balkan meets Calipso meets funk meets punk meets reggae meets disco beat meets avant-garde meets boogie meets gospel meets trio meets Bach meets radio play. Many things are not predictable. Neither for the concertgoers nor for the performers.

Their album "Moving Krippenspielers-Vol.1" was released in November '19, the next album is already in progress.
