((( LIVESTREAM ))) NICA streams Kristina Brodersen/Tobias Weindorf & Dominik Mahnig/Christian Lorenzen

In January we started the monthly series "NICA presents ..." at JAKI. Due to the current situation we cannot continue the series as planned. Therefore, we are now transferring the idea to the virtual concert room and starting "NICA streams ...", a new format that sees itself as the "ArtSalon" of the 21st century. Here we make artists* of the free Cologne scene digitally experienceable, curated by the NICA Artists.

This is what the legendary bassist Steve Swallow wrote about the interaction of the two Cologne musicians Kristina Brodersen and Tobias Weindorf. They got to know each other during their studies at the Cologne Music Academy. Meanwhile they are not only a couple musically, but also privately.
In their concerts Kristina and Tobias play a selection of pieces from their duo album "Rabaneo" (Ajazz), some newer compositions, as well as one or two songs from the "Great American Songbook".
