((( LIVESTREAM ))) NICA streams Leif Berger/Jannis Sicker & Philip Zoubek/Gareth Lubbe

In January we started the monthly series "NICA presents ..." at JAKI. Due to the current situation we cannot continue the series as planned. Therefore, we are now transferring the idea to the virtual concert room and starting "NICA streams ...", a new format that sees itself as the "ArtSalon" of the 21st century. Here we make artists* of the free Cologne scene digitally experienceable, curated by the NICA Artists.

NICA Artist Pablo Held has invited the duo Leifer Berger/Jannis Sicker for this issue.
Jannis Sicker and Leif Berger share a common aesthetic feeling in music and a mutual appreciation of their artistic visions (they both own each other's Bandcamp discography). For example, Jannis played electric bass in the "Leif Berger Trio" (with Leif on piano) and Leif played drums on Jannis' 2019 release "Solo EP", to name just two examples of their musical pursuits.
On "NICA streams" they reflect on their first instruments and play a set with guitar and drums.

The duo Philip Zoubek / Gareth Lubbe has accepted the invitation of NICA Artist Tamara Lukasheva.
Multi-instrumentalist Gareth Lubbe and pianist Philip Zoubek present their new programme: A musical trip consisting of microtonal and contemporary music, overtone singing and noise.
