Low Down Brass Band

Embodying the vibrant musical culture of Chicago, the LowDown Brass Band is a unique brass ensemble that weaves the rhythm of the streets with conscious hip-hop, reggae and soul music. The band tours relentlessly and has performed on the most extraordinary stages including Electric Forest, Bonnaroo, Summer Camp, Alaska Salmon Fest, Montreal Jazz Fest and a five-week EU/UK tour in 2025 with Australian band Cat Empire.

Over the past four years, LowDown has been relentlessly active, releasing three albums - "The Reel Sessions", "LowDown Nights" and "$itizens of the World" - that showcase their unique sound and continue to push the boundaries of their genre. Drawing on their talent and unconventional style, LowDown Brass Band continues to forge their own path, defying convention and charting their own course in the ever-changing musical landscape.
