In spring Mae Muller honoured us with an exclusive concert at the Privatclub in Berlin. Now the up-and-coming artist from London has confirmed a new tour through Germany for April 2021. Since her debut "Chapter 1" last year, Mae Muller has quickly established herself in the world of modern pop music as an artist who uses her music as a mouthpiece to communicate feminist messages and, not least, to empower herself. Mae Muller has a lot to share. Case in point, her single "Therapist," released earlier this year. Here, the problem of one-sided relationships and the accompanying combative role of women around just such partnerships until the final breakup is addressed.
Meanwhile, the Englishwoman belongs to the young breed of female musicians who have an enormous influence on her generation. Mae Muller's songs all show a high intensity as well as deep honesty and directness, for example when she settles accounts with the lying and cheating ex-boyfriend in the first single "Dick" from her debut album from 2019. Instead of playing along with his games and continuing to put up with them, the singer tells him in no uncertain terms, "Pack your bags, delete my number, I'm not doing this anymore," and makes a statement with this clear message. With "Dick," Mae Muller encourages her fans, as she often does, to rise above things and love themselves more than staying in an unhealthy relationship. First and foremost, she puts her own well-being and values first. Mae Muller wraps these strong messages in breezy pop songs - intoned with a soulful voice and charming North London dialect - behind which you wouldn't necessarily expect such a weighty content at first listen.
Recently Mae Müller announced her new EP "no one else, not even you", which will be released on November 6th. A foretaste of the work can be found in Mae's current single "so annoying", which fits wonderfully into the artist's well-known musical concept. Mae Muller returns to Germany in April 2021 for three shows in Cologne, Berlin and Hamburg and will captivate us with her expressive live performances. "Performing is my favorite thing in the world. I can't wait to play my second headlining tour," the musician tells us. "I have missed so much seeing my fans face to face and hearing them sing my lyrics. This brings me great joy".
