In spring 2020 Mae Muller honored us with an exclusive concert at the Privatclub in Berlin. Now the up-and-coming artist from London has confirmed a new tour through Germany for April 2021. Since her debut "Chapter 1" last year, Mae Muller has quickly established herself in the world of modern pop music as an artist who uses her music as a mouthpiece to communicate feminist messages and, not least, to empower herself. Mae Muller has a lot to share. Such is the case with her single "Therapist," released earlier this year. Here, the problem of one-sided relationships and the accompanying combative role of women around just such partnerships until the final breakup is addressed.
Meanwhile, the Englishwoman belongs to the young breed of female musicians who have an enormous influence on their generation. Mae Muller's songs are all highly intense and deeply honest and direct, for example when she settles the score with her lying and cheating ex-boyfriend in the first single "Dick" from her debut album from 2019. Instead of playing along with his games and continuing to put up with them, the singer tells him quite clearly: "Pack your things, delete my number, I'm not doing this anymore" and sets a sign with this clear statement. With "Dick", Mae Muller encourages her fans, as she often does, to be above things and love themselves more than staying in an unhealthy relationship. First and foremost, she puts her own well-being and values first. Mae Muller wraps these strong messages in breezy pop songs - intoned with a soulful voice and charming North London dialect - behind which, at first listen, you wouldn't necessarily suspect such a weighty content.
Recently Mae Müller announced her new EP "no one else, not even you", which is to be released on November 6. A foretaste of the work is given by Mae's current single "so annoying", which fits wonderfully into the artist's well-known musical concept. In April 2021 Mae Muller will return to Germany for three shows in Cologne, Berlin and Hamburg and will captivate us with her expressive live performances. "Performing is my favorite thing in the world. I can't wait to play my second headlining tour," the musician tells us. "I have missed so much seeing my fans face to face and hearing them sing my lyrics. This gives me great joy".
