I'm sure you've never heard the famous Christmas carols like this before. Sometimes rarely heard Christmas songs from the Allgäu or Denmark are presented in their simple beauty, sometimes an old Christmas hit with a punk beat. Sometimes a cozy triad appears, reminiscent of an Allgäu Christmas parlour with a warm wood stove, or two tubas groove with complementary drum beats and rock up to real big city riffs.
Inspired by mischief and master craftsmanship, a new Christmas story is written, based on tradition. Six outstanding musicians* also stage an unparalleled nativity play.
Six people, around thirty instruments, Christmas carols, Christmas costumes, a Christmas story that leaves plenty of room for creativity and interaction on stage, singing and a few folk dances - these are the ingredients for this timeless nativity play. Folk meets Jazz meets Balkan meets Calipso meets Funk meets Punk meets Reggae meets Disco-Beat meets Avantgarde meets Boogie meets Gospel meets Three-Vocals meets Bach meets Radio Play. Many things are not predictable. Neither for the audience nor for the performers.
