NEW.HEIMAT.SOUNDS.: Amour Vache // Schmackes & Pinscher
NEW.HEIMAT.SOUNDS. stands for passion for music, beyond commercial major label attitude. We are convinced that off the mainstream incredibly diverse and interesting musicians and bands with love and dedication do what they do best - music! Since the Corona pandemic, many bands and musicians are no longer able to play live on stage. Financial shortages and restrictive hygiene regulations have made it difficult for local bands and newcomers to find opportunities to perform. With the NEW.HEIMAT.SOUNDS. Clubtour 2021 we want to bring the bands of the network back from the digital stage into the venues and clubs.
Amour Vache:
At the collective Amour Vache, rock'n'roll, contemporary dance and visual arts work together as equals. Boundaries are to be deliberately blurred here, high culture is to move into the punk rock shop marked by life, and noise and DIY attitude into the theatre context. This interdisciplinary band thus sees itself exactly in its time and since 2017 has supported artists such as Esben and the Witch (GB) or Raketkanon (BE) as well as delivered choreography and music for the performance 'Kiss the Void of East and West' by Rotterdam's Scapino Ballet in 2018. April 2021 saw the release of Amour Vache's debut album, whose darkly echoey, dreamy yet cutting-edge sound aesthetic won critical praise. This all needs to be back on stage - it's nice that summer has arrived.
Schmackes & Pinscher:
Schmackes & Pinscher were born out of a love for music. They are like two kids in a toy store, helping themselves to everything. The desire to experiment and try things out and the fun of POP fraternizes them. Schmackes & Pinscher were already Indietronic when Tronic was only known from Techno, Toco or Ego (with whom they often shared the stage). They already toured through D, CH, AT and shook some clubs & bars there and made dance floors shake. Stories for legends! That's Entertainment. Seen that way, happened that way! Consequently they titled their debut album "Best Of". Their influences range from indie, to electronic, to disco, to international pop. Their music is a wild, danceable ride that the KStA once wrote about, "...The energy of a nuclear power plant condensed into a thimble..." They are also active with Meanwhile Project Ltd and MAIM. Their latest release "Time" from the 7" split single "The Schmackes & Pinscher / Saender Experience" is dominated by urban beats. A banjo provides immense recognition value, allows for some country and thus underlines the gloominess in the song. The project was supported by the Popkulturförderung of the city of Cologne.
