NICA live: Das Ende der Liebe | Release-Konzert "PERSIST"
It's not clear whether the four members of the band Das Ende der Liebe really believe that love is colder than death - although you could almost assume it based on their oracular band name.
We won't let speculation stop us, because there's bigger news here: Das Ende der Liebe, simply and affectionately abbreviated as DEDL, released their new album PERSIST on February 14, 2025 and are playing their release concert at JAKI. For the freaks and misfits, dropouts and resisters, hedonists and hedonists and cynics who were seduced by the glittering cover of their last album "SCHNE*E", it's a dream come true, because many days, if not years, have passed since the DEDL vision first appeared.
Andreas Völk, Laurenz Gemmer, Kenn Hartwig and Thomas Sauerborn have ventured into imaginary fields and cultivated hallucinogenic plants, which is to say: they were and are really on a trip here. For their latest musical adventure, they have brought on board Berlin-based, non-binary transdisciplinary artist:in "su dance110", who reveals a completely new facet of DEDL's musical vision with her voice and effects. For the fullest savoring of the collective trip to celebrate the release, the band brings live visual artist Lucas Grey on board and what follows: DEDL Megaworld live and in full color.
Andreas Völk (live sampling, barth audios, organs), Laurenz Gemmer - (yamaha CP70, melodica, ableton live), Kenn Hartwig (electric bass, sitar, nintendo gameboy), Thomas Sauerborn (drums, FX pedals, drum Pads), Lucas Grey (live visuals)
