Ausverkauft: Paul Heller invites Ida Sand – „All that Soul…“

Ida Sand has always seen herself more as a soul singer than a jazz singer. The open secret of the internationally acclaimed singer and pianist from Stockholm is her ability to fuse American and European soul in her very own, unmistakable way. With her debut album "Meet Me Around Midnight", she already wowed audiences with her "earthy, distinctive sound, drenched in the blood of the blues, steeped in gospel, jazz-weathered and soul-infused" (Jazzthing). When cultural life in Sweden was also put on hold in 2020, Ida Sand also discovered her singer/songwriter qualities: Out of enforced isolation, she asked "Do You Hear Me?" with her album of the same name, inviting us on a musical journey with gentle, wonderfully airy folk songs.

Now Ida Sand is a guest of Paul Heller, who has put together a small but extremely fine band for her to accompany her on this new chapter of her journey. The program All That Soul promises much more than soul, rhythm'n'blues and gospel, namely a deep musical insight into a soul.
