Paul Heller invites „The Jakob Manz Project”

Jakob Manz has already been a guest in Paul Heller's "Invites" series, now he returns and brings his complete "The Jakob Manz Project" with him - as a guarantee for heavily grooving, atmospherically dense and varied funk-soul jazz! Born in 2001, Jakob Manz was a multiple prizewinner of the national "Jugend musiziert" competition, winning on the recorder, percussion and saxophone. When Paul Heller met him at his jazz workshop in Inzigkofen, Manz was just 14 years old - and met most of his "Project" band at the workshop in Baden-Württemberg. At the age of 15, he began his studies as a junior student at the Stuttgart University of Music, at 19 he made his recording debut with the renowned German jazz label ACT, and today Jakob Manz has long since become an established figure in young German jazz. Alto Manz and tenor Paul Heller complement each other in an energetic performance full of tempo, temperament and vibrant tone colors - a promising "Groovin' Affair" with a lot of joy in playing and a good portion of virtuosity.
