Paul Heller presents Tenor Summit Vol. 3
Anyone who has experienced the first two Tenors Summits knows that you can't get enough of these energetic summit meetings. For the third time, Paul Heller is inviting colleagues, companions and friends to join him in grooving rhythm, melody, harmony and sound. Tony Lakatos was already at the second Tenor Summit, "I practically grew up with him", enthuses Heller. With Peter Weniger and Denis Gäbel, two heavyweights will be joining them, who shine with their own ensembles as well as being accomplished big band protagonists. All of them stand for individual class, emotional depth and brilliant virtuosity - and follow the philosophy once formulated by Weniger: "Being part in the act of creation". With three "saxophone savants" as a rhythm section, they can draw on the full range of possibilities.
