Scott Matthew

Gifted song poet Scott Matthew has earned the highest respect from critics and fans alike with his five solo albums to date since his self-titled debut in 2008. The Australian-born songwriter writes and sings about the longing and disappearance of love like no one else - always deeply empathetic, touchingly arranged and in his very own style.

Just in time for the 1st Advent, Scott Matthew is now releasing a 2-track single on November 29th with two Christmas classics, which he interpreted and recorded together with his Australian colleague Sia. While the duet "Baby It's Cold Outside" is one of his absolute favourites, "Silent Night" came about rather by chance - but as a sparsely instrumented Christmas ballad with guitar, ukulele and bells it fits perfectly into the contemplative Advent season.

Whoever experiences Scott Matthew live is usually strangely moved. Scott turns sorrow into song, he unmasks his inner self in front of the audience. He allows listeners to share, to participate, to become part of something special. Scott Matthew touches deeply, the intensity of his singing is always quite immediate and often wonderful.
