Songlines mit Bambus Björn // Futari II
Bambus Björn
Groovy nostalgic indie pop lovingly embraces soul, hip hop, jazz and electro. Since their inception in 2015, a sense of reflected reality-pushing-on has been developing around the music of Bambus Björn. Of radical empathy in the face of sealed horizons. With a playful matter-of-factness they process in their songs observations and experiences with being together and apart, with loss of control, tenderness and growing up. To process all this, danceable rhythms and spontaneous improvisations may not be missing in any live performance.
Futari II
Futari is Japanese and means "two people". Elisabeth Waanders and Max Peters met at the Folkwang University in Essen and quite quickly realized that they had to make music together.
They started writing and producing pieces together. In the meantime, a debut album has been created, which will be released in winter 2021/2022.
Lively sounding synthesizers and elegant melody lines, refreshing twists and playful beats that make you dance. The center of this sound world is the velvety vocals of Elisabeth and Max. Two- to hundred-voice cascades of tastefully suspended harmonies.
So trying to describe their music is not so easy. Dream-pop, electronica, jazz, or all of the above? Due to their diversity and musical depth, Futari II will not allow themselves to be pigeonholed.
Elisabeth Waanders (vocals, synthesizer), Max Peters (vocals, synthesizer), Duy Luong (bass), Lukas Joachim (drums)
