Following the success of 'Sternal Symphonic Society', the pianist, composer and three-time ECHO jazz prize winner Sebastian Sternal is now focusing on the small format again: the classical piano trio in a spectacular cast.
Jonas Burgwinkel, who is in great demand and has also been awarded an ECHO, and with whom Sternal has been working for years, plays the drums. On the double bass is one of the greats of American jazz music: Larry Grenadier. The New Yorker became world famous as the companion of Brad Mehldau, Pat Metheny, Joshua Redman and many others.
For the album "Home" Sternal wrote exciting new compositions, from which the creative trio in interaction creates sparks and melodic arcs. Rhythmic energy meets atmospheric density and dynamic grooves. America meets Europe: a transatlantic summit meeting!
