Stadtgarten presents its programme for the season in the open-air concert space Green Room, which opens on 01.05.2021, in daily livestream concerts over the Carnival weekend: Songlines goes in search of honest pop music, the Tom-Tom Listening Session offers exclusive nights with the JAKI resident DJs, at JAZZ at GREEN ROOM the Green Room sounds in the modern interpretation of an old New York jazz club and NICA live presents musical ideas and visions of the NICA Artists.

"Bayer & Scobel" - a sense of depth, detail and musical interaction distinguishes the duo of trumpeter and flugelhornist Heidi Bayer, NICA artist 2020, and pianist Sebastian Scobel. In 2018, they began to merge their playing styles in numerous rehearsal phases and shortly thereafter won the Folkwang Jazz Prize. Since then, they have gained further concert experience together, culminating in a live recording at the Deutschlandfunk Chamber Music Hall in Cologne in the summer of 2020. The material recorded there, consisting exclusively of their own compositions rooted in modern traditions yet leaving plenty of room for free development, will be released as their first album in 2021

Leif Berger "Hinweis auf die Sonne" - With "Hinweis auf die Sonne" Leif Berger presents his personal way of forming music for the first time as a bandleader. With his intuitive compositional approach he tries to combine the beauty of simplicity with more difficult structures. Together with Yannis Anft (synthesizer) and Stefan Schönegg (bass) it is easy for him to pursue this artistic vision. Today he is joined by Rebecca Salomea (vocals).
