In conversation with the two Kaput editors-in-chief Thomas Venker and Linus Volkmann, Cologne-based artist Maria Wildeis and Istanbul-based artist Ece Özel talk about their respective artistic practices - as a DJ, producer and sound artist and as a painter. As always with Kaput, it's not just about art, but also about the socio-economic working conditions of female artists and, in this case, about the respective communities in Cologne and Istanbul.
In view of the current political unrest in Istanbul, music as a soundtrack of resistance will certainly also be a topic.

Maria Wildeis will present a live set with material from her current album Deep Meaning. Ece Özel will provide the musical framework for the evening and play at the beginning and end - so make sure you arrive punctually at 7 pm!
