Talking Kaput #19: Zwischen Klanginstallationen, Field Recordings und kollaborativen Projekten: künstlerische Positionierung im Post-Streaming-Zeitalter
Zu Gast: Anushka Chkheidze und Jannis Carbotta
Live music: Anushka Chkheidze and Jannis Carbotta
Georgian-born Anushka Chkheidze was born in Tbilisi and is one of the most promising musical talents far beyond the borders of her country. Growing up in the small village of Kharagauli, she began singing in a choir at the age of eleven. She herself describes the time she spent there as magical and is convinced that her music is strongly influenced by these childhood years.
In 2020, Chkheidze released her debut album "Halfie", followed by "Move 20-21" in 2021, which was created during the pandemic and deals with the lack of physical movement and interaction with other people. This was followed by the albums "Lost Luggage" and "Clean, Clear and White". Most recently, the album "Uncontrollable Thoughts", produced together with Robert Lippok, was released on Morr Music.
Anushka Chkheidze took part in the Monheim Triennale 2023, 2024 and 2025 with a site-specific sound installation and several performances, including the composition for a MIDI organ "Intricate Pipes".
