Cologne Music Week: Mariybu / Yung FSK 18

Sometimes sweet like Lollipop, sometimes dark and evil - when Mariybu lays her versatile voice over the distorted bass, it means fire. The multi-talented artist from Berlin not only produces all of her own music, she also impresses with sassy lyrics about (queer) sex and dating. Sexy, sweet as sugar or in a tearaway mood - Mariybu knows how to play with her different attitudes, as she impressively demonstrated on her debut album "SLAYBAE" and the subsequent EP "KussKuss". Musically, she has now fully committed herself to hyperpop and is one of the pioneers of the emerging scene in the German-speaking world.

Yung FSK18, born and raised in Halle (Saale) as the sixth of nine siblings, is a rapper, video artist and social worker.
She released the EPs "Sextape" and "Dieses Business" in 2020 and her first album "18Plus" in 2023. All of these releases were in collaboration with her producer friend Rattenjunge.
She has also worked with producers Alphamob, Mosa and DJ Mell G, among others, and released features with scene greats such as Teuterekordz, KDM Shey, SHOKI, Swear Boss and Ikkimel.
The lyrics - 100% autobiographical - tell of parties, sex, drugs, friendship and emotional chaos - we don't know what came first. With her unmistakably snotty but sexy style and wild visual content, most of which she conceived and designed herself, she was and is a key player in sex-positive feminist rap in Germany.
The young rapper has already played countless live shows throughout Germany in recent years and has already made a name for herself as a legend of German underground rap, as well as with her most famous track "Essen und Sex" (with Swear Boss).
