Jacob Young Trio

Jacob Young is a highly respected Norwegian jazz guitarist and composer who has released ten albums of his own music, including four on the renowned ECM label as bandleader and guitarist. His collaboration with ECM began in 2004 with the album Evening Falls and continued in 2008 with Sideways, both of which showcased his distinctive style. He currently performs live with his new trio, together with Mats Eilertsen and Veslemøy Narvesen, and presents his music from his fourth ECM release Eventually. Since 2017, Jacob Young has also run the record label Oslo Session Recordings and has toured and recorded albums as a sideman for renowned artists such as Manu Katche, Karin Krog and Bendik Hofseth.

Mats Eilertsen is an internationally recognized bassist who has been part of several influential Norwegian jazz bands since the late 1990s. He leads his own bands, including the "Sky Dive Trio" and the "Mats Eilertsen Trio". In 2019, his piano trio received the Norwegian Spellemannspris (Spellemann Award) for their album And Then Comes The Night. Veslemøy Narvesen is a remarkable up-and-coming Norwegian talent who is already in demand and recognized as a drummer at a young age and has played in bands such as Mall Girl, Dafnie and Kongle Trio. Veslemøy Narvesen was awarded "Young Jazz Musicians of the Year" in 2021 with the Kongle Trio.
