Jazz at JAKI: Nick Adema's Urban Chaos

Urban Chaos: Inspired by the climate of contemporary creative music, Nick Adema has put together a series of compositions based on a frenzy of rhythmic and melodic questions. The musicians realize the vision of this ensemble with clever intent and meaningful dialogue. They recently premiered their music on their Canadian tour, which took them to Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Gatineau, Guelph, Toronto and Montreal, with master classes at the University of Toronto and Capilano University.

Nick Adema leads an Amsterdam group that challenges the notions of our urban cityscape, yearning for a pragmatic future.
