NICA live im GREEN ROOM und im Stream: Reza Askari/Sebastian Müller & Matthias Muche/Etiennen Nillesen

Premiere in the GREEN ROOM: The concert will take place in the new open-air concert room in the back of the outdoor restaurant of the Stadtgarten (the former "Al Bosco").

Duo Reza Askari - Sebastian Müller
Sebastian Müller (guitar) and Reza Askari (double bass) are connected by an intensive friendship and musical relationship that has lasted for decades. Whether in their heart-felt project Colonel Petrov's Good Judgement, in the quartet with Frank Gratkowski or as a duo this evening; the focus is always on the mutual interaction and the reference to the musical influences from the footsteps of both protagonists.
This evening will present original compositions, jazz standards as well as works of progressive and alternative punk of the nineties of the last century.

Etienne Nillesen/Matthias Muche
The new Cologne duo "ME" of Etienne Nillesen on the extended snare drum and trombonist Matthias Muche plays uncompromising and adventurous music. The jazz concept is lustfully stretched by them and their music draws a wide sound spectrum of their instruments, from intimate simplicity to large soundscapes in which conventions are always renegotiated and unmistakably ONE sound is created.As protagonists of the "Cologne Sound", they also play as the Trio T.ON with bassist Constantin Herzog as well as in Elisabeth Coudoux's - Emißatett and are among the most active international players on the scene.
