This quartet plays the latest compositions by the young Berlin saxophonist Bruno Bode. His music focuses on free and communicative playing with intricate forms in which the four musicians express their strong individual voices and sound ideas. The lack of a harmony instrument gives the music an open sound with a focus on two-part harmony and counterpoint. Aesthetically, the quartet moves between atonal conceptual themes and folk song-like melodies, in which the unbridled energy of the musicians and their sensitivity come to the fore.
