Ausverkauft: Der Literarische Salon: Dinçer Güçyeter
Both in his poems and in his autofictional novel "Unser Deutschlandmärchen", for which he received the Leipzig Book Fair Prize in 2023, Dinçer Güçyeter paints a polyphonic panorama between migrant expectations and German reality. His language is rich in imagery and wonderfully opulent, often coarse, with casual exclamations. He draws on Greek mythology as well as the tradition of his own ancestors in Turkey. But humor, the cheerful serenity, also plays a decisive role, as does the interweaving of different text genres such as theater, poetry and prayer. The feuilleton wrote of an "expressionistic power of language and subtle ambivalence". The fact that such an advanced poet as Güçyeter earns his living as a forklift truck driver in his home town of Nettetal near the Dutch border certainly contributed to the excitement. We are looking forward to meeting this extraordinary author and would of course like to find out how all this comes together.
