Ausverkauft: Der Literarische Salon mit Sasha Marianna Salzmann

She was shortlisted for the German Book Prize with her first novel, "Außer sich. Since then, the enthusiasm of a wide variety of prize jurors has not waned. Yet the Maxim Gorki Theater's in-house author has only just published her second novel. Regardless of whether Sasha Marianna Salzmann is telling the story of twins and their search for a sense of belonging or whether she is following several generations on their way from the post-Soviet ruins of Ukraine to Germany, her special sound always casts a spell. The author, who describes herself as non-binary, deals in her works with current topics such as sexual ambiguity, disintegration, existential ruptures, fluid identity and gender issues, and does so in such a wonderfully sensual language that she was also awarded the Prize of the Literature Houses hours before the editorial deadline. So for the first time in its history, the Literary Salon will also be an award reading. We are already working on the laudation!
