AUSVERKAUFT: NICA live: Duo Rastani/Lukasheva & Janning Trumann 4

Das Konzert ist ausverkauft. Es wird keine Abendkasse mehr geben.

Since January, the four NICA Artists Elisabeth Coudoux, Pablo Giw, Pablo Held and Tamara Lukasheva have regularly presented musical ideas, visions, cooperations or discoveries under their names in the monthly concert series "NICA presents". We are very happy to continue the series as "NICA live" in the new open-air concert space GREEN ROOM in the back part of the outdoor restaurant of the Stadtgarten (the former "Al Bosco"). Tonight is curated by NICA Artist Tamara Lukasheva.

The music of the singer and pianist Tamara Lukasheva meets Persian traditional drums, which are at home in the classical as well as traditional music of Iran. The cup drum Tonbak and the frame drum Daf, played by
Syavash Rastani, are used for this new interplay according to the style. Together the musicians create a new sound dimension between contemporary jazz and new percussive sound facets.
The sometimes groovy, sometimes melancholic pieces originate from original compositions by Tamara Lukasheva.

With his quartet, Janning Trumann plays jazz that is as poetically gripping as it is powerfully flowing. Stimulatingly complex and at the same time equipped with magnetic melodies, expressive and yet always clear, musical statements. The sounds and the vocal quality of his instrument wonderfully relishing and at the same time embedding them in the collective shaping of his stringent compositions and their improvisational freedom. Thus Janning Trumann unfolds an enormous, deeply effective energy together with Lucas Leidinger, Florian Herzog and Thomas Sauerborn, and one can be curious about their brand-new program "Emotional Reality" and new developments that have emerged during the time of the Locdown.
