In the fall of 2016, the "wild marriage" between Vince Mendoza and the WDR Big Band was declared as over. Not because the relationship would no longer have worked, exactly the opposite was the case. Vince Mendoza has been a welcome guest at the WDR Big Band since the early 1990s. And because the collaboration became closer each time and the musical relationship kept on getting more intense, the American arranger was appointed "Composer in Residence". Mendoza knows the WDR Big Band like no other. He knows how to reach the maximum potential of every band member with his sophisticated composition art. Now Vince Mendoza presents new "material" that he has written for "his" big band.
