Lux is a shining light among the many singer-songwriters. And not only because of her name. The lyrics are clear and profound. Her voice is haunting and warm. In addition, round, great arranged songs with fine melodies. She stands up for the things that move her and packs them into music and poetry.

Her song Was zählt für Dich was awarded the Liederbestenliste song prize in 2020. An appeal to look and not take anything you have for granted. "Having a privilege always means that someone else doesn't have it," she says, "and I'm aware of that." She manages to keep a lot of lightness and humor even with the deep issues, using her poetry to tell stories in a way that lovingly transports you into your own story. And so a Lux concert also always becomes a journey through one's own cerebral convolutions and then right into the heart.

Her album Leise Bilder, which she wrote and produced together with her longtime companion Oliver George, was awarded the German Record Critics' Prize in 2018 as one of the artistically outstanding new releases. Her new album Lichtblicke was released in November 2021.

Christina Lux is a wonderful guitarist with a very unique style, who always celebrates her music live with impressive presence. Together with her companion Oliver George on drums, guitars and vocals, both engage with each other with great joy of playing and it is amazing how space-filling and intense just two musicians can be. The touching musicality and range of Christina Lux & Oliver George is unusual. Unusually good.
